A: Hello, Jack; thanks for coming for this interview. The reason for inviting you here today is to understand more about that terrorist attack more than a month ago; although more than 40 days had passed by, right now I still feel incredible and uneasy about it. Jack, you were there as a fireman, right? Can you talk about your feelings on this incident?
B: Firstly, I would also like to express my pleasure of accepting your interview, Miss Anna. I am a fireman, I feel honored to be able to participate in the rescue work; but I also feel the shock and outrage towards this 911 incident. When we had rushed to the scene after receiving instruction, smoke was billowing from the building and the interior was on fire; I could also see things were falling down from the building, people all around were showing panic, nervousness and disquiet. This let me utterly detest this incident.
A: Yes. We all feel the same. We believe the government will seek justice for us; the culprits will be punished. OK, can you tell us about the fire-fighting? Surely it must be alarmingly dangerous?
B: Yes, you’re right. We have to pay the price for every terrorist attack. The situation was very critical at that time; we almost turned out in full force and entered the building to fight the fire. We were very dedicated, courageous and regardless of personal danger to fight the fire. But more misfortune befell, the tower collapsed and took away the lives of our 343 comrades.
A: It’s really unfortunate, I feel very sad about this and they were all heroes. How many families had been destroyed by this terrorist attack? According to our data it’s nearly 3000 deaths, this is absolutely a grievous number. Their terrorist attacks only bring about sufferings. Don’t you think so, Jack?
B: I agree absolutely. They are all nuts, always doing crazy things. I hope they’re all locked up soon.
A: Definitely. OK, let us end this distasteful subject. Thank you again for your presence, may we continue the next time.
B: Not at all; we’ll meet again.
